One step forward, 4 steps back

Since I was a young kid, my Sundays would be determined by the results of the team of my heart, SAMPDORIA. If they won, I would be energetic the rest of the day, finish all my school work and work like a machine, with a smile from ear to ear. If we tied and it was a good opponent I would be OK and get myself through the day. But if they lose, I get depressed and shut down. So you know how i felt yesterday, but what upsts me the most is that everytime we can show something for improvement, we screw it up and throw it in the garbage.
Coming off an impressive tie against the Camptioni D’Italia, we had the chance to go to the Olimpico and show that we are for real and are consistent, but is almost always the case, we lacked that extra ingredients the very good teams own on the road, the ability to find a positive result and lost 2-0.
Yesterday there was very little creativity and we saw with clear evidence how much we miss a second forward. What is more annoying is that we did not clearly get outplayed, and we also had our chances, but as a team wanting to move forward you have to get the job done and at least walk out with a point. Cassano is all alone up there, and the midfield is still not clicking. To be honest, why don’t we play Fornaroli with Cassano? Just give them the chance and let’s see what they can do together cause Bonazzoli is done. He seems lost on the field, and Delvecchio just doesn’t offer consistent productivity. We cannot do this every year. We MUST show consistency. We have the great opportunity this year to solidify our name in Serie A after last year. It starts this week.
It starts now with the UEFA Cup game this Thursday against Kaunas at the Marassi. We need a big win to jump start our season because we JUST HAVE TO. It is very early in the season, yes, so I won’t panic but all I am saying is that this team has to make the “class” jump and become one of the main 7 teams in Serie A, one of the teams that always is competitive, is never an easy game, and always a participant in Europe. I have confidence in the team and Mazzarri but please, GET CASSANO HELP!!! I am hoping in a great week where at the Marassi, our temple, we not only gain a great lead in the aggregate against Kaunas but where we also on Sunday demolish newly promoted Chievo. It is only September but it is already time to pick up the sleeves and get to work. FORZA SAMP! ALWAYS

Hey, good luck to you guys on Thursday! I hope you demolish Kuanas in the UEFA cup and show the world another one of the strong sides in Serie A.
Yes, Cassano does need help up front, since a lone man can’t do everything by himself. By the way, he seems chubbier to me. He should take care of that and get in top form.
I don’t think you have to worry, I think Samp is def one of the top 7 teams in Serie A…..

Cheer up! At least you guys managed 1 point out of two games. You might think that is bad, but from a Milan fan’s prospective, and after losing both games home you realize that it isn’t too bad to walk away with a draw and a loss in two games.
But why isn’t Mazzarri playing Fornaroli? Wasn’t he tipped to be the nex Pippo Inzaghi?Posted from

fornaroli should be starting right now because bonazzoli is not helping, and delvecchio is not a forward.
